Afrobeats and visual artists of note will be the hallmark of Artmiabo International Art Festival (AMIAF) billed for Lagos from April 27 – May 01, 2023.

The thrust of this year’s event is around Afrobeats both as a music genre and a visual art style. Visual artists with Afrobeats influence will be juxtaposed with Afrobeats artists.

The AMIAF gives us a rare and historical opportunity to give them their ‘flowers’ which they undoubtedly deserve, 19 of them will be given awards for their immense contribution to the music genre through their Music, and Craft as Songwriters, DJs, Video/Film producers, Music Producers, Artistic Creators, Documentary makers, Music TV and Artist/Talent managers all in true Afrobeats form.

The five-day fiesta will feature international and local artists as well as seminars, workshops, competitions and art exhibition which formed the basis for the festival and award night for the Afrobeats music stars.

The awardees include Onyeka Onwenu, Laolu Akins, Clerence Peters, Keke Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye (D1), Jacob Akinyemi Johnson (JAJ) and Chris Okoro.
